The Team

Ryan, Courtney and Avery TuckerRyan is a graduate of Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky and the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. He has completed the Church Planters Boot Camp in Waco, Texas hosted by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in July, 2007 and has eleven years of Associate Pastor experience as a Student Minister. Ryan is fortunate to receive guidance and discernment from veteran church planter and Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Alabama Church Plant Coordinator, Dr. Michial Lewis.

Jon and Andrea HallJon and Andrea Hall will join our Billings Church in January of 2009 as a pastor with emphasis on Community Development and Missional Living. Jon is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands. During the last five years Jon has worked as a student minister in Somerset, KY and Overland Park, KS. Jon’s decision to move to Montana is part of the maturation of a sense of call he experienced during his junior year in college to actively participate in church planting. 

Bruce GourleyBruce is a graduate of Mercer University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is nearing completion of a PhD in History from Auburn University. He Debra and Elizabeth Gourleycurrently serves as the Interim Director of the Center for Baptist Studies at Mercer University and the Online Editor of Baptists Today. Bruce is an Internet Entrepreneur, the founder and owner of one of the oldest and most popular Montana-based commercial websites, as well as of a number of Baptist-themed sites, including BaptistLife.Com. He is a former professor of Church History at Yellowstone Baptist College and former campus minister in Billings, Montana.

 

More About our Team Members

Ryan and Courtney Tucker recently moved to Billings, MT to help lead the initial church plant. Courtney is a registered nurse, and they have one daughter, Avery. Ryan enjoys reading, training his dog, Timber, spending time with his family and is an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoys Turkey hunting.

Bruce and Debra Gourley live in Bozeman, Montana, where Bruce is involved in a number of technology-related endeavors.  They have one daughter, Elizabeth, and Debra (a former teacher) is currently a stay-at-home Mom.  Long active in moderate Baptist life, Bruce is also a photographer and enjoys backpacking, hiking, camping, fly-fishing, and ultimate Frisbee.
