Welcome, to the Billings Missional Community web site. Hello, I am Ryan Tucker and I am excited to be in Billings, Montana working with some friends to plant a new church. I am often asked, “Why are you calling this church a Missional Community?” The answer is simple; we believe the heart of the New Testament church was based on community. (Acts 2:42-47) This community was found among the grand collection of house churches who banded together to make up the greater church, also known as the Body of Christ.
We
are seeking to plant a Missional Community. The word missional is an
accurate description to describe the way Jesus walked this earth, a
life lived committed to serving others (meeting their
physical and spiritual needs) and building community
(sharing life together) with those Jesus came in contact with on
a day-to-day basis.

What is Missional - A Short Answer
"Jesus told us to go into all the world and be his
ambassadors, but many churches today have inadvertently
changed the 'go and be' command to a 'come and see'
appeal. We have grown attached to buildings, programs,
staff and a wide variety of goods and services designed
to attract and entertain people.
"Missional
is a helpful term used to describe what happens when you
and I replace the 'come to us' invitations with a 'go to
them' life. A life where 'the way of Jesus' informs and
radically transforms our existence to one wholly focused
on sacrificially living for him and others and where we
adopt a missionary stance in relation to our culture. It
speaks of the very nature of the Jesus follower."

The mission of the Billings Missional Community is to “Love God,
Live Community and Serve Our World”. We believe the greatest way
(Matthew 22:36-40) to show our love for God is to
live community and serve our world, which begins right here in
Billings, Montana.
We are seeking to develop home-based community groups that will partner for the purpose of worship and serving. For more information about how you can become involved feel free to contact me, Ryan Tucker. I would be happy to meet you at some local establishment and talk more about this new work of Jesus in Billings, Montana.
An initial core group will begin meeting late this month. The group will spend six weeks in prayer and conversation about community in preparation for formally launching the church. If you wish to be a part of the conversation, call or email Ryan Tucker.
